Liberty Boot Co. boots are known for unique designs, bright-colored leather inlays, and rock n’ roll themes inspired by the golden era. Pinto Ranch is proud to carry ladies styles from this handmade boot line, including vintage butterflies, floral, skull and horseshoe motifs.
Throughout the year Pinto Ranch hosts Liberty Boot Co. Trunk Shows where Tony Benattar, owner and designer, brings in the entire collection of handmade cowboy boots. During the trunk show customers have the opportunity to meet Tony, browse the latest styles and special order from the collection.
Canadian-born Tony Benattar bought his first pair of boots at age 16 while living in London, an unlikely place for a cowboy boot company to get its start. Years later while vacationing in Mexico; Tony was on a mission to find the pointy-toed boots that he had always dreamed of. Tony ended up in Leon, Mexico, and it was there that he found his calling.
Back in Canada Tony showed off his new pair and quickly realized that he could design more “rock ‘n roll” boots than he was seeing in the market. Between 1987 and 1993 Tony Benattar Boots became the third largest boot company in Canada. By 1993 Tony recognized that Canada alone could not support his business, so he partnered with Yan Ferry and founded Liberty Boot Co., a collection of “high-end, crazy boots.” Yan later went on to establish Old Gringo Boots, and Tony found a new partner in Luis Torres, who, at the time, owned a family-run boot company in Leon.
Liberty Boot Co. is proud to produce high-quality boots by hand carving the toe boxes, hand cutting the inlays, using only top notch leather and constructing all-leather insoles and outsoles. But the most important element and the Liberty Boot Co. trademark, is building boots with “absolutely edge-pushing design.”
With this success Liberty Boot Co. has attracted a large celebrity clientele including, Madonna, Steven Tyler, Ralph Lauren, Sheryl Crow, Bruce Springsteen, Kid Rock, Sandra Bullock and Avril Lavigne, just to name a few.
FIT & SIZING
To find the perfect fit you should always start with your shoe size. In any handmade boot your heel should slip about a quarter of an inch, and your toe should be in the center of the toe box. Our boot experts are always on hand at all Pinto Ranch locations to help you find the perfect fit, or call us toll-free at 800-393-8001 with any questions.
