Black Jack Boots was founded in El Paso, Texas in 1996 by 3rd generation boot maker Jerry Guerra. After a long career in the boot business and recognizing the importance of quality, Guerra decided to start his own company: Black Jack Boots.
With a focus on craftsmanship and top-quality materials, Black Jack Boots partnered with an alligator farm, and this partnership put the new boot company on the map as the “kings of alligator boots” producing about 500 Black Jack cowboy boots and belts per week.
"One thing I grew up knowing was the importance of quality. I will not sacrifice quality to get a lower price,” states Jerry Guerra, Founder and President of Black Jack Boots.
Today Black Jack Boots is still family-owned and operated in El Paso by Guerra and his team, including his brothers, daughter and other family members who can be found working in different departments throughout the factory. Guerra still takes great pride in the craftsmanship and hand-selects every hide, skin and material himself to guarantee the integrity of each design of Black Jack cowboy boots.
To find the perfect fit you should always start with your shoe size. In any handmade cowboy boot your heel should slip about a quarter of an inch, and your toe should be in the center of the toe box. Our boot experts are always on hand at all Pinto Ranch locations to help you find the perfect fit, or call us toll-free at 800-393-8001 with any questions.
