In 2000 Ernie Tarut (the “Old Gringo”) and Yan Ferry founded Old Gringo Boots. This collaboration combined Taurt’s 30 years of leather manufacturing experience and Ferry’s 30 years of European design and bootmaking knowledge to produce a boot brand with superior quality and unique style.
"It is and always will be about making the right pair of boots. You know those boots you always turn to and never want to take off?" – Ernie Taurt

FIT & SIZING
Old Gringo boots run true to size, so we suggest starting with your shoe size. In any handmade boot, your heel should slip about a quarter of an inch, and your toe should be in the center of the toe box. Our boot experts are always on hand at all Pinto Ranch locations to help you find the perfect fit. Call us toll-free at 800-393-8001 with any questions.
