Sunset Trails began making belt buckles and saddle silver as the Srour Company of Los Angeles, California in the early 1920’s. The early designs preserved the old styles worn by early Mexican rancheros, as well as, represented western cowboy tradition to meet the Hollywood demand for authentic western garb. Through the years the company stayed within the Stanton family, changing its name to Sunset Trails in 1951. In 1960, McCabe silversmiths of Hollywood was acquired and two proud traditions in silversmithing came together under one room.
Sunset Trails continues the family tradition of hand-wrought and hand-engraved workmanship that begun over 90 years ago. The Stanton Family’s newest generation – Tony, John and Todd – are committed to keeping the tradition alive.
