Use a soft silver polishing cloth to bring back shine. Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or silver polish.
To attach the charm to a chain open the hook by holding then pendant at the base, grab the lip of the hook with jewelry pliers and lift up, slightly. Do not open the hook wider than necessary. If you do not have pliers, a butter knife will do the trick! Then close the hook by squeezing it down tightly. You can do this with jewelry pliers or with your fingers.
