Rios of Mercedes

Known for the largest inventory of handmade cowboy boots in the U.S., Pinto Ranch is proud to announce the addition of a new boot line for men by Rios of Mercedes Handmade Boots.

Rios was hand-selected to create this exclusive line based on 160 years of western traditions and high-quality craftsmanship. The initial collection consists of twelve designs made up of a selection of skins and leathers including Remuda, goat, elephant, hippo, full-quill ostrich, and Nile crocodile.  Both Cowboy style (13” shaft) and Roper style (11” and 12” shafts) are included in the collection.

Rios of Mercedes Handmade Boots was founded in 1853 by the Rios family and moved to Texas’ Rio Grande Valley in the early 1900s.  Still family-owned and operated under the stewardship of Trainor Evans, Pat Moody, and Ryan Vaughn, Rios of Mercedes continues the tradition of fine boot making. Rios is known for making “real American Made Cowboy Boots” and for its generous support of organizations like the National Reining Horse Association, National Cutting Horse Association, National Reined Cow Horse Association, and many more. All boots are proudly made in the South Texas town of Mercedes, Texas
